Public Art: Colorado
I sincerely believe in the power of public art to transform, motivate, delight and inform and have been fortunate to have been selected for projects in Brighton, Cenntenial, Englewood, Golden, Greeley, Lakewood and Superior, Colorado.

Transformation: Brighton, Colorado | Monsterous Fun: Greeley, Colorado

City of Superior Bus Shelters: As part of the City of Superior’s creative placemaking initiative, bus shelters were transformed with artwork to promote a sense of identity. With deliberately different styles, I created artwork for two shelters. The first depicted outdoor recreation opportunities in the area and included brief information about the trails and their distance from the shelter. The second shelter made history vibrant with bright colors and graphic sound bites illustrating the historic Kite Route Railroad that had been near this location.

Golden Itty Bitty Art: This project invited artists to create small pieces at selected sites in downtown Golden to delight, engage and surprise visitors.

Lakewood Rail Boxes: Incorporating historical and place-based information, I created artwork for four different relay boxes along the W Line. At the flagship Wadsworth Station, mosaic-style artwork that echoes the design of the station’s awning was created of the Denver skyline for the eastside box and mountains for the box on the west side. Artwork for another box located at the previous site of an apple orchard was created with a paint dab style along with extremes of scale to create a playful, colorful expression of the area’s past and speak to the present-day vibrant arts community along the 40 West corridor.
