Lakewood Rail Boxes

Incorporating historical and place-based information, I created artwork for four different relay boxes along the W Line. At the flagship Wadsworth Station, mosaic-style artwork that echoes the design of the station’s awning was created of the Denver skyline for the eastside box and mountains for the box on the west side. Artwork for another box located at the previous site of an apple orchard was created with a paint dab style along with extremes of scale to create a playful, colorful expression of the area’s past and speak to the present-day vibrant arts community along the 40 West corridor.
